Goal
Identify a list of colleges that meet your list of personal preferences.
Begin taking a look at the schools you’re interested in using the UStrive college tab. If you’re not sure where to start, you can begin by searching the schools in your area and state to get a feel for what their size is, top programs of study, and more! By clicking on a school's profile, you can get more insight about the school, like their top programs of study, graduation rate, how much debt students take on, and more.
You can then download the College Comparison Worksheet to evaluate different factors that may be important to you when compiling your list of schools.
Additionally, College Board has created a list of colleges where students with similar levels of academic achievement from each state graduated most frequently. The intent is not to guide you toward specific colleges. Rather it is to provide information on different options to help you create a robust application list suited to your academic performance. In the link below, you'll find folders divided by states, with lists separated by SAT score or GPA. The lists consist of 20 four-year colleges and universities, including public and private institutions, as well as in-state and out-of-state options.
