What is the CBOS?

The College Board Opportunity Scholarships program helps students stay on track with the college planning process while offering them chances for $500 scholarships for each college planning action they complete. When students complete all six steps, they earn a chance at a $40,000 scholarship. Students whose families earn less than $60,000 per year have double the chances to earn scholarships.

Requirements:

  1. Build Your College List ($500)

  2. Practice for the SAT ($500)

  3. Explore scholarships ($500)

  4. Strengthen Your College List ($500)

  5. Complete the FAFSA ($500)

  6. Apply to Colleges ($500)

Complete all six for a chance at $40,000!

Note: these are all steps you need to complete to apply for college any way, so it’s a win win!
